Nayer Pally Sealdah Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee — organised by Jatio Yuba Sangha — is one of the older Durga Pujas of central Kolkata, founded in 1948. 2026 marks our 79th year of celebration at Shraddhananda Park, Raja Rammohan Sarani, Sealdah.
Across nearly eight decades, the puja has weathered its share of hurdles — yet it has stood tall every single year, carried forward by the same spirit of community service, culture and togetherness it was founded on.
Every year, the pandal, the pratima, and the days of celebration are made possible by the generosity of sponsors, the effort of volunteers, and the warmth of everyone who walks through our gates.

Rath Yatra & Khuti Puja
A community favourite held annually at Shraddhananda Park, drawing crowds from across Sealdah for the chariot procession. Every year, Khuti Puja — marking the ceremonial start of pandal construction — is performed on this same day.
Cultural Nights
Music, dance and performances by local talent through the puja evenings, open to the whole neighbourhood. Line-up announced closer to the festival.
Bhog & Community Meals
Shared meals prepared and served to the community across the puja days, a tradition of seva at the heart of our celebration.
A Special Welcome
Durga Puja, Open to the World
We warmly welcome tourists and visitors from abroad to experience Durga Puja with us — the rituals, the drums, the pandal, and the spirit of the neighbourhood. From Shashthi onward, our international guests are offered a special Bhog of Maa Durga, along with a friendly introduction to each day's customs. Guests from abroad may also offer Anjali to Maa Durga with the committee's guidance — a simple, heartfelt way to take part in the worship.
Our puja runs on the time and effort of volunteers from the neighbourhood. Whether it's setup, hospitality, cultural events or day-of coordination, there's a place for you on the team.
We are still a small, community-run puja — and we'd love your help to grow it, year on year, into a grand theme puja that does justice to Nayer Pally's spirit. Every contribution, big or small, goes directly toward the pandal, the pratima, the bhog and the days of celebration.
